Houston Accelerated Scholars Program (HASP)

We are excited to challenge and inspire our most mathematically and scientifically inclined students with these new course offerings.  Below are some of the benefits of these classes.

  1. Enhanced Learning Environment:  Students will engage with rigorous and advanced mathematical and scientific concepts, preparing them for future academic and professional endeavors.
  2. College Preparedness:  Courses such as Enhanced Advanced Algebra/Precalculus, AP Calculus BC, and AP Physics 1 and 2 will equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in higher education, particularly in STEM fields.
  3. Personalized Instruction in a ninety-minute-per-day Setting:  Through these specialized courses, students will receive attention and support in advanced classes that go well beyond the norm in high schools.
  4. Competitiveness:  Advanced Mathematics and Physics can make students more competitive for scholarships and admission to elite universities. Additionally, AP classes can boost student GPAs.
