• Community Garden: We are excited to open the Lindsey Student Support Center Community Garden. In collaboration with our community partner, Yosef's Coat Ministries, participants can enhance the garden by supporting a garden bed.  We look forward to filling the garden with herbs, vegetables and flowers, creating a welcome space for the community. The garden will be open to participants on Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in September, October, November, February, March, April, and May.  The garden will be open additional dates in June and July. Click here to register.
  

• (Closed Registration) Literacy Workshops: We are partnering with Houston County Family Connection for the spring 2025. This workshop is for parents/guardians of children 0-8 years old. The workshop will provide learning tips and strategies to help your child learn to read. Classes will be offered January 28 and February 25 from 5:30pm-7:00pm.  Registration is required.

• Advanced Canva Training: Learn the advanced techniques on how to make dynamic flyers, worksheets, videos and presentations. Bring your laptop and mouse! If you do not have these items let us know and one can be provided. The workshop will be held on March 19 from 10:00-11:00am or 4:00-5:00pm. Click here to register.

We are excited to offer Parent Workshops for parents/families of students with disabilities. Marina Jones our Parent Mentor is eager to work with you to explain IEP's, explore summer camp resources, NOW and COMP waiver application assistance, managing screen time, and emergency preparedness.

• Resource Room: Our center provides clothing, household goods and hygiene products for families in needs.  It is open to the public from 12:00-5:00pm on the second Tuesday of every month: Aug 13, Sept 10, Oct 15, Nov 12, Dec 10, Jan 14, Feb 11, Mar 11, Apr 8, May 13, Jun 10, Jul 8.
• Food Pantry: Open Tuesday OR Thursday from 12:00-5:00pm. Prepared food bags are available (one per family).
• LSSC Clinic: The LSSC: is partnering with the Houston County Health Department to offer free to low cost medical appointments. Nurses are on-site to provide basic care. We can treat the following: mild/moderate conditions, high blood pressure, screenings, diabetes, vaccines, physicals....and more!
