Meal Pack Updates - June 5, 2024
- New Traffic Patterns: We understand that lines were long last week, and we are collaborating with the sheriff’s office to better manage the traffic. Please familiarize yourself with maps for traffic flow.
- Site Capacity: Three school sites meet USDA requirements for serving drive-through multi-day meal packs: Bonaire Middle, Langston Road Primary, and Northside Elementary. Each site can safely prepare and serve 700 meal packs, totaling over 7,000 meals. Meals will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. until supplies are depleted. We anticipate distributing all 700 packs before serving all vehicles. Families are encouraged to join us for daily meals at various locations around the county. For more information, visit https://www.hcbe.net/snpsummermeals/families.
- Improved Line Management: We are implementing new systems to monitor our inventory in real-time, helping us manage lines more efficiently as we approach our distribution limits. At 11:00, our staff will begin labeling cars and counting the number of requested meals so that we can notify families who are waiting in line as soon as possible. For this type of service, parents or guardians are allowed to pick up meals for kids, and kids do not have to be present at the time of the meal pack pick up.
